The best hardware wallet yet? Here’s everything you should know about the new OneKey Pro 2.
It was teased for a long time on social media in classic Apple style, and now it’s finally here—the new hardware wallet from OneKey. The OneKey Pro 2 officially launched on October 8, 2026, and is available right away in the official OneKey shop.
We received the wallet a few days early and, of course, got straight to unpacking, setting up, and testing the OneKey Pro 2.
Before we dive in, here’s a quick overview of what’s inside the new OneKey wallet (and there’s quite a lot).
The facts – what the OneKey Pro 2 Wallet offers
The predecessor, the OneKey Pro, is widely regarded as one of the best and most complete hardware wallets out there, and it still holds its own against most of the competition. With the successor, the OneKey Pro 2, OneKey wants to raise the bar once again—both in design and in security and user experience.

You generally only get this level of quality from the absolute premium models of the competition, such as the Trezor Safe 7 or the Ledger Stax.
Design – is this really “just” a hardware wallet?!
It’s no secret that OneKey has always drawn a fair amount of inspiration from Apple. The previous wallets, especially the OneKey Pro, already looked refined and came in high-quality packaging.
That hasn’t changed with the OneKey Pro 2. There’s nothing to criticize about the packaging, and unboxing the OneKey Pro 2 is genuinely enjoyable—something you almost want to celebrate.
The OneKey Pro 2 itself comes in a precision aluminum housing. The back is made of frosted glass, and the front (the display) uses Gorilla Glass 5.
The rounded, smooth edges and the 2.5D glass complete a truly premium industrial look. At times it almost feels like you’re holding an iPhone Mini, or as if Apple had brought the iPod back.
When you consider that many hardware wallets still look rather plain and technical, the refreshingly approachable design of the OneKey Pro 2 is a welcome change. It’s not just crypto and tech fans who will enjoy holding this device.
The OneKey Pro 2 is an extremely light hardware wallet and sits very nicely in the hand. You can comfortably reach everything on the screen and swipe through the menus.

It’s also extremely thin—only 6.2 millimeters, which makes it thinner than quite a few smartphones. Perfect for taking with you. That also makes the wallet a solid 20% slimmer than its predecessor.
Thin alone isn’t everything, though. There’s still plenty to see, and in excellent sharpness. The front is almost entirely display, with a proud 3.54-inch diagonal. It’s a high-resolution OLED screen.
Like the previous model, the OneKey Pro 2 has a camera for scanning QR codes, which enables so-called air-gapped (offline) transaction signing.
The camera is fully integrated into the housing.
Functions and UX – more than just a wallet
Until now, hardware wallets have mostly been a relatively monotonous and rarely used part of everyday life. You pulled them out to sign transactions and that was basically it. With the OneKey Pro 2, OneKey wants to take the user experience to a new level. Once you connect the wallet to the OneKey App, you can see your entire portfolio on the display at any time and interact with the wallet directly.
That’s a genuine novelty in the hardware wallet world: keeping an eye on your portfolio and allocation without needing your phone or even a desktop app.
The entire UX flow has also been reworked. Less technical, more natural. Large, colorful interfaces and navigation via swipes with clear instructions. The user journey is designed around what people already know from everyday life—no special technical skills and no fiddling required.

At the same time, anyone who wants to go deeper and “nerd out” a bit will find plenty of advanced functions under the hood in the options.
From our point of view, that makes the OneKey Pro 2 an excellent choice for both beginners and professionals.
Security – the heart of the OneKey Pro 2 leaves little to be desired
Both in terms of the hardware and the features, the focus of the OneKey Pro 2 is on what ultimately still matters most in a hardware wallet: security.
In general, the OneKey Pro 2 keeps the things that already made the predecessor stand out and continues them in a sensible way.
Starting with the fingerprint sensor, which in our tests was noticeably smoother and better—both to set up and in everyday use.
There are still a full four EAL6+ security chips inside the OneKey Pro 2.
In daily use, Clear Signing is naturally front and center. On the one hand, the OneKey Pro 2’s display always shows you what you’re doing; on the other, all relevant information is broken down into clear, human language instead of hash values. What are you signing, how much, and where is it going?

SignGuard is also on board. It detects risks, fraudulent addresses, and other dangers in real time. So you can act before something happens—or at least take a closer look before you do something that, in the crypto world on the blockchain, is very hard to undo.
Transaction simulation and sending crypto via Private Swaps round out the strong security package of the OneKey Pro 2.
You also have the option to create Hidden Wallets, activate Travel Mode, or supplement the mandatory seed phrase with an individual passphrase.
With the built-in browser (via the OneKey App) you can also navigate the web or DeFi protocols securely.
Entropy is important as well (see the Coldcard hack).
Hardware and software code are open source and can be viewed and checked on GitHub at any time.
The entropy source can also be exported and tested.
More than crypto – everyday functions of the OneKey Pro 2
Hardware wallets usually aren’t that big, so the OneKey Pro 2 is the first and so far only wallet to include Apple Find My, which helps you locate the wallet if you lose track of it.
The OneKey Pro 2 also supports FIDO2 logins. You can use the wallet to securely sign in to your digital identities on the web—whether social media or banking.
With a 700 mAh battery, the wallet also lasts a very long time. Wireless charging is supported.
What does the fun cost?
The OneKey Pro 2 is available for 299 dollars with free worldwide shipping via the official shop.
For that you also get a comprehensive starter bundle worth almost 300 dollars on top:
- A seed card for NFC backups
- A magnetic folio to protect the wallet
- OneKey Prime for one year

Our verdict on the OneKey Pro 2
From our point of view, the predecessor was already excellent. The OneKey Pro 2 goes one better. Compared with other premium wallets, we find it outstanding.
The design and materials are the best we’ve held so far.
The OneKey Pro 2 also manages the balancing act between easy accessibility and security that is beyond doubt and market-leading.
